Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam presented his credentials to the President of Vietnam

Baku – APA. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam Anar Imanov presented his credentials to the President of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang on May 16.

Press service of the Foreifn Ministry told APA that during brief conversation that followed the ceremony, Ambassador Anar Imanov conveyed President Ilham Aliyev's greetings and best wishes to the President of Vietnam.

Ambassador said that Azerbaijan attaches importance to develop ties with Vietnam in light of huge opportunities for bilateral cooperation and noted he will be making efforts for the advancement of these ties.

In his turn, President Truong Tan Sang of Vietnam thanked for President Ilham Aliyev's greetings and best wises and asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings to President Ilham Aliyev. President also invited Azerbaijani President to pay a visit to Vietnam and congratulated Ambassador Anar Imanov on being appointed Ambassador to Vietnam and wished him well during his diplomatic activities.

Vietnamese President also emphasized the history of bilateral ties between the two countries and expressed interest to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan. He also noted with satisfaction the invaluable role and contributions of Azerbaijani energy specialists to the development of energy sector in Vietnam.
