Azerbaijan and Austria sign Declaration on friendly relations and partnership

APA reports quoting Austrian media that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Austrian President Heinz Fischer signed the document.

At the press conference following one-on-one meeting of the Presidents, Heinz Fischer said that the Declaration of Friendship shows the commitment of Heads of State of the two countries to democracy, respect to human rights and the principles of the rule of law. The document also contains a clause on the peaceful solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

President Ilham Aliyev called Armenia to immediately withdraw its troops from Azerbaijan’s territories: “The conflict must be resolved in accordance with the international legal norms. I hope that the international community will take an active part in the settlement of this conflict.”
