Taking into account the current socio-political situation in Syria, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the Azerbaijani citizens to delay their visits to this country, if it is not necessary, spokesman for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev told APA.
According to him, since the situation deteriorated in Syria, the embassy of Azerbaijan has always kept in the focus of attention the state of our citizens in this country: “All Azerbaijani citizens have been evacuated and our citizens have been repeatedly recommended to delay their travels to Syria. Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a warning in this regard and it is still valid.”
Due to the Syrian crisis, the embassy of Azerbaijan has been temporarily moved to Beirut. The Foreign Ministry recommends the Azerbaijani citizens temporarily living or permanently residing in the foreign countries to keep in touch with embassies and consulates and undergo consular registration, in case of emergency situations and other dangers.
