Moscow. Farid Akbarov-APA. Azerbaijan-Russia Joint Commission on Demarcation has held its first meeting in Moscow, APA’s Moscow Bureau reports. The issues on normative-legal documents regulating Azerbaijan-Russia state border demarcation process were discussed at the meeting.
Deputy FM Khalaf Khalafov, co-chair of the commission from Azerbaijan, participated at the discussions.
The discussions were held under constructive dialogue and good neighborhood spirit.
An agreement on demarcating the borders between Azerbaijan and Russia was signed in Baku on September 3, 2010. According to the document, borderline overlaps the border between former Azerbaijan, USSR and Dagestan. Russia is the first country that signed an agreement on the state border of Azerbaijan.
