Khojali tragedy to be included in high school books in Muslim countries

Bakuâ€“APA. Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) put forward new initiative at the 4th conference of the OIC ministers of education and science to recognize Khojali tragedy internationally. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan told APA the forum proposed to include reports about the Khojali massacre in the high school books in the OIC member countries. Members of the OIC Youth Forum informed about the international campaign â€œJustice for Khojaliâ€ initiated by the organizationâ€™s coordinator on the cross-culture dialogue and said that it was important to carry out this campaign in the member countries in 2009-2012. Both proposals were included in the final resolution of the conference adopted on Wednesday, which stated that OIC supported including the truth of Khojali (1992) and Van (1915) massacres committed by the Armenians in the high school books and accepted the international campaign â€œJustice for Khojaliâ€ as a priority in the member countries in 2009-2012. Photo and film exhibitions, Internet, international conferences and demonstrations describing real facts about the Khojali tragedy will be held in the different countries within this campaign.
