"We must strengthen our Alliance's security not with words, but with concrete capabilities," Türkiye's National Defense Minister Yasar Guler said during the Defense Industry Forum held as part of the NATO Summit, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.
Emphasizing the importance of the Alliance's new defense targets, the minister said NATO's commitment to raise defense spending to 5% of GDP is of great importance.
"The wars and conflicts that have taken place have shown that success on the battlefield depends not only on existing stocks of weapons and ammunition, but also on the ability to rapidly produce and quickly adapt to changing conditions. This commitment is a concrete indication of the Alliance's determination to strengthen its deterrence capability and expand defense industrial production," Yasar Guler noted.
