"Greenland should be under US control, not Denmark's," US President Donald Trump said during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, APA reports.
"Denmark does not spend money on Greenland. Greenland is a vital part of the United States, but it is surrounded by Russian and Chinese ships. That will not happen. Greenland should be under the control of the United States, not Denmark," the US leader emphasized.
He also spoke about the threats facing Europe and noted that the continent's two main problems are immigration and the energy crisis.
"If these two issues are not addressed, there will no longer be a Europe. They had better be careful," Trump warned.
