A population census will be conducted in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2029, APA reports.
The President Ilham Aliyev signed a Decree in this regard.
According to the Decree, the next population census in the Republic of Azerbaijan, based on the situation as of October 1, 2029, will be conducted from October 1 to October 31, 2029.
Under the Decree, the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been entrusted with carrying out the preparatory work for the population census, conducting the census, processing its results, and publishing and disseminating the outcomes.
The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan must approve, within two months, an action plan for the preparation and conduct of the 2029 population census, take measures to ensure the integration of relevant data contained in the information resources and systems of the respective state bodies (institutions) into the database of the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to obtain the necessary information related to the population census from administrative sources, and resolve other issues arising from this Decree.
