"I think Erdoğan also would not want Iran to possess nuclear weapons," US President Donald Trump said during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, APA reports.
Speaking about the war with Iran, he stressed that Türkiye had the capability to intervene in the war on Iran's side, but did not do so.
"Türkiye is great. They are great in many respects. Türkiye has a strong military. On the Iran issue, they could have joined the war on their (Iran's - ed.) side. But they did not," Trump said, expressing his appreciation for Türkiye.
