Today, all flights at Manas International Airport in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, were temporarily suspended.
According to AKIpress, the suspension was caused by an accident involving a TezJet Boeing 717 aircraft after one of its rear landing gears failed during takeoff.
According to the report, the airport suspended all arriving and departing flights until aircraft debris and spilled aviation fuel were cleared from the runway. It was later announced that the airport would remain closed until 22:00.
It was reported that there were 181 passengers and six crew members on board the aircraft. All passengers were evacuated, and no one was seriously injured. Several people received minor medical assistance.
