Opportunities to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the fields of trade and investment promotion, energy, artificial intelligence, digital economy, critical minerals extraction and processing, industry, transport, and tourism were discussed, the Ministry of Economy said, APA-Economics reports.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with a delegation led by U.S. Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation.
The meeting noted that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States has been developing successfully on the basis of the political will and mutual trust of the presidents of both countries.
The parties discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the fields of trade and investment promotion, energy, artificial intelligence, digital economy, critical minerals extraction and processing, industry, transport, and tourism. They also emphasized the role of the Middle Corridor and the TRIPP route initiative in the development of international trade, economic integration, and strengthening regional connectivity.
It was noted during the meeting that the Economic Dialogue mechanism within the framework of the Strategic Partnership Charter between Azerbaijan and the United States is one of the main institutional platforms for cooperation. The sides exchanged views on a roadmap for the implementation of joint projects and reviewed prospects for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
