Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership conference to take place in Washington next week

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev –APA. A conference entitled “The role of Diaspora in the development of Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership†will take place on October 1-2 in Washington. The State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, one of the conference participants, told APA increasing political activity of US Azerbaijani Diaspora and its prospects would be discussed at the conference. The second part of the event will be dedicated to the energy security issues, which will cover the development of strategic ally relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, energy security, role of Azerbaijan’s energy resources in the bilateral and multilateral relations and etc.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to US Yashar Aliyev, head of Azerbaijani permanent mission to UN Aqshin Mehdiyev, members of the parliament Ganira Pashayeva, Asim Mollazadeh, Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov, officials of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad, representatives of the US State Department and World Bank, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, US representative on Caspian and Black Sea energy policy Matthew Bryza and other officials will attend the conference.
