Elmar Mammadyarov meets Foreign Ministers of Croatia, Luxembourg, Georgia and Ukraine

New-York-APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov visiting New-York to participate in the 63rd session of UN General Assembly has met with his Croatian counterpart Gordon Jandarkovic, Khazar Ibrahim, Spokesman for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told APA.
The meeting debated bilateral, international and regional issues. Minister Elmar Mammadyarov stated that regional conflicts were not frozen conflicts and stressed that these conflicts created threat against security of the region and Azerbaijan-Armenia conflict had to be solved within the framework of Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity.
Croatian Minister stressed that his country supported Azerbaijanâ€™s position. Jandarkovic added necessity of development of economic cooperation between the two countries and expressed his gladness for increase of GDP and other points in Azerbaijan.
Mammadyarov has also met with Minister for Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn. The sides discussed international, energy and other issues and stressed the importance of solution to Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict to establish regional stability. The sides welcomed Turkeyâ€™s proposal for establishment of Caucasus Cooperation and Stability Platform with interest.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Mammadyarov has received Georgian Foreign Minister Eka Tkeshelashvili. Mammadyarov stated that all regional countries were interested in restoration of stability and security in the region and stressed that settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict would contribute to creation of positive condition in South Caucasus. The meeting covered energy and transport projects between the two countries.
Elmar Mammadyarov has met with members of American Jewish Committee and discussed bilateral, international and regional issues. Members of the Committee recalled their recent visit to Azerbaijan and stated that they returned back with good impressions.
Mammadyarov met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vladimir Ogryzko yesterday. The sides focused on bilateral, international and regional issues, cooperation within the framework of GUAM, joint activity and energy issues. The sides exchanged views on issues to be discussed in the 63rd session of UN General Assembly and documents to be approved.
Elmar Mammadyarov participated in dinner-party held by US President George Bush and his spouse Laura Bush yesterday. The visit continues.
