Department head: â€œThe main issue is to achieve the most useful and optimal form of cooperation in the South Caucasusâ€

Tamara Grigorievaâ€“APA. â€œThere were certain initiatives for the different forms of cooperation in the South Caucasus recently, but the main issue is to achieve the most useful and optimal form of cooperationâ€, said Novruz Mammadov, Head of International Relations Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office, expressing opinion on Iranâ€™s Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottakiâ€™s idea about his countryâ€™s intention to join the Caucasian Peace and Stability Platform.
The department head emphasized that first important issue for Azerbaijan was the solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other problems in the region, but it was not clear yet what results would give these proposals and initiatives. â€œWe want peace and observing the international norms in the South Caucasusâ€.
