US satisfies with energy cooperation with Azerbaijan

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has met with US Presidentâ€™s Special Envoy for Caspian Energy Diplomacy Boyden Gray and US State Department Coordinator for Eurasian Energy Diplomacy Steven Mann. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA that the visitors have highly appreciated organizing the conference in Baku dedicated to the oil and gas potential of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan and noted that such events played important role in strengthening of energy cooperation between the two countries and energy security as well.

US officials expressed satisfaction with US-Azerbaijan energy cooperation and emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan in the international energy security, as well as importance of oil and gas projects in the country, including Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzrum gas pipelines.

In his turn, Elmar Mammadyarov said the energy projects Azerbaijan joined were useful for the country and had a significant importance for Azerbaijan in the strategic, security and economic fields.
