Sergey Lavrov: â€œThere is no similarity between the situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia and the situation in Nagorno Karabakhâ€

He said that the policy pursued by Saakashvili regime aiming to disrupt the format of negotiations, all mechanisms of the settlement agreed by the sides, provocations against civilians and peacekeepers brought the situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia to this level.

Sergey Lavrov said such cases had not happened around the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, none of the conflicting parties stepped out of the settlement.
â€œSerious work has been done for the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, work continues on the uncoordinated issues,â€ he said.

Russian Minister mentioned that Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents were regularly conducting dialogue, the last meeting was held in St. Petersburg in summer.
â€œThere is agreement to continue the work on all levels. Russia will also help solve the conflict basing on the principles agreed within the framework of OSCE and CSTO,â€ he said.
