Last Wednesday, the CAS heard arguments from Fenerbahçe's lawyers in which they challenged sanctions imposed by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
Fenerbahçe was banned from European soccer for two years in June over domestic match fixing, but the CAS temporarily lifted the ban last month to allow them to compete in the Champions League pending the outcome of their CAS appeal. Fenerbahçe lost against Arsenal in Champions League qualifiers and it will now compete in the Europa League if the CAS allows this.
