Paris Saint-Germain has emerged as a frontrunner in the race to sign highly rated River Plate teenager Franco Mastantuono, according to media reports in Argentina, APA reports.
The French Ligue 1 club has already made contact with the 17-year-old's representatives with a view to securing him on a long-term contract, TyC Sports reported on Friday.
It added that Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Olympique de Marseille are among other clubs interested in the attacking midfielder.
Mastantuono's contract with River Plate runs until December 2026 and reportedly includes a 45 million-euro release clause.
An attacking midfielder who can also play as a striker or winger, Mastantuono has been a revelation for River Plate this year, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 18 games across all competitions.
