Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG) defeated Aston Villa FC 2–1 on Wednesday to claim the UEFA Super Cup crown, APA reports.
The Parisian club took the lead in the 20th minute, when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored. The London team equalized with Brian Madjo's goal in the 45th minute. Finally, Desire Doue gave PSG the decisive lead in the 61st minute.
The match was played at Red Bull Arena in Salzburg. PSG qualified for the match after winning the UEFA Champions League, and Aston Villa after triumphing in the UEFA Europa League.
