Paris Saint-Germain have clinched the Ligue 1 title after AS Monaco's away loss to Lyon on Sunday, putting them on 12 league wins in the club's history, APA reports citing ESPN.

PSG were held to a surprise 3-3 draw against Le Havre on Saturday, meaning they had to rely on second-placed Monaco not winning if they were to be crowned champions this weekend.

Despite the draw on Saturday for PSG, Monaco's loss left them on 59 points -- 11 behind the total of 70 PSG have in the bag -- putting the title out of reach for the chasers with only three games left in the season.

The French giants remain on track to win all four of the trophies available to them this season in what is likely to be star forward Kylian Mbappé's final term at the club.

The Parisian club have now won 10 of the past 13 championships since their takeover by the state-backed Qatari Sports Investment in 2011.
