Central Asian countries should create a single market for investment, Deputy Director of the Kyrgyzstan Investment Agency Damirbek Bikulov said at the “Coordination Meeting of the Turkic Investment Promotion Network” held as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA reports.

He said that many countries are currently competing with one another for investment and capital: “However, the new era requires stronger coordination and joint action. If we are talking about productive investment, investors are looking for a large market. Together, we can offer them a large market. It is possible to work faster in smaller countries, but together we can create broader opportunities and achieve better results."

He cited the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway project as a practical example of regional cooperation: “This is a new economic artery for our region. It connects East and West. Today, Türkiye and Azerbaijan are also exchanging experience. Therefore, if we use the concept of a single market for investment in our countries, we can turn it into an open platform. Through such a platform, countries could present their investment potential, exchange experience and jointly discuss opportunities to attract more capital,” he said.
