Baku-APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received the squad of Spanish football club Atletico Madrid, APA reports.
After welcoming the athletes, the President expressed satisfaction how "Athletico" is being popularized in Azerbaijan. President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that, despite the brevity of the visit, the members of the Spanish club will find a way to get acquainted with Azerbaijan and to establish closer contact with people.
At the meeting, development of Azerbaijani-Spanish business relations was talked about. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of "Atletico" Enrique Cerezo, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid Arturo Fernandez, the Spanish club's player Arda Turan had a speech at the meeting.
