Belgium drew 0-0 with Iran in their 2026 FIFA World Cup second-round match in Inglewood, California, APW reports.

Iranian striker Mehdi Taremi scored in the 25th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside after the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system intervened. Belgium were down to ten men in the 66th minute after defender Nathan Ngoy was sent off.

Iran and Belgium, playing in Group G, each have two points from their two matches. In the first round, Belgium drew with Egypt (1-1), while Iran drew with New Zealand (2-2). The match between Egypt and New Zealand will take place on the night of June 22, Moscow time.

The final round of the group stage will feature Egypt and Iran, as well as Belgium and New Zealand. The games will take place on the night of June 27.
