According to Sky Germany, Bayer Leverkusen are already planning for the departure of their head coach, Xabi Alonso, APA reports.
Over the summer, Bayern Munich attempted to lure Alonso away from the BayArena, as they were looking to find a successor for Thomas Tuchel.
Nevertheless, Alonso elected to remain at Leverkusen in order to defend the Bundesliga title as well as tackle the Champions League with Die Werkself.
However, there is now a belief within the club that the Spaniard will be difficult to retain at the end of this campaign, and they have, therefore, been on the hunt for his future replacement.
