Format of AFFA Premier League to be changed

Baku â€“ APA. The next conference of AFFA will be held on March 16, AFFAâ€™s Information and Public Affairs Department told apasport.az website. The conference will take place in the administrative building of the association. The agenda includes 6 issues.

Annual, financial report of AFFA and the report of the independent auditing organization will be made at the conference. Following this, the budget of the next year will be confirmed. The most interesting issue is the new system of the Premier League. The members of the conference will discuss it and make a final decision. Reducing the number of the participants from 14 to 12 as from 2009/10 is discussed, in order to increase the interest in the Premier League.

The composition of the licensing commission will also be changed at the conference.

According to AFFA statute, the conference is held once a year. As Rovnag Abdullayevâ€™s one-year activity in the post will be marked in March, the next conference has been scheduled for March, not for April as usual.
