Deputy Chairman of the Board of PASHA Bank Bahruz Naghiyev participated in the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF) and spoke at a panel discussion titled “International Financial Cooperation: Building Partnerships for Growth,” APA reports.

The forum, held in Baku on September 25–26 under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, brings together international investors, government agencies, companies and financial institutions, providing a platform to present Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities and expand international cooperation.

The first part of the panel discussion focused on the global financial environment and its impact on the region, the role of international capital in financing infrastructure and industrial projects, the participation of development banks and investors, as well as the impact of credit ratings on investor confidence. The second part of the panel was dedicated to Azerbaijan’s strategic position in the region.

During his speech, Bahruz Naghiyev shared his views on assessing investment opportunities in Azerbaijan, strengthening investor confidence and the role of banks in financing the private sector. He noted that bringing together local and foreign capital contributes to the development of the investment environment and creates new financing opportunities for businesses.

PASHA Bank was established in 2007 and is one of Azerbaijan’s leading corporate financial institutions. The bank provides corporate and small and medium-sized enterprise clients with investment banking, trade finance, asset management and other financial services. One of the bank’s main areas of activity is contributing to the development of the non-oil sector and meeting the financial needs of the real sector. In addition to Azerbaijan, PASHA Bank also operates in Georgia and Türkiye.

In recent years, the bank has identified the development of capital markets as one of its strategic priorities. In 2026, PASHA Bank successfully completed the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of its shares. Through the IPO, the bank aimed to develop relations with a broader investor base and further strengthen corporate governance and transparency standards.

According to the results of the first half of 2026, PASHA Bank’s consolidated assets amounted to AZN 9.98 billion, while its capital stood at AZN 1.01 billion.
