Company cooperating with Chelsea to construct football academy in Gabala

Baku. Mehman Suleymanov - APA-Sport. The leadership of Gabala club has invited specialists from england for the construction of football academy. APA-Sport reports that vice-president of the team Fariz Najafov said British specialists would soon arrive in Azerbaijan.
â€œThey are also cooperating with famous Chelsea club. We will improve childrenâ€™s football with the help of football academy to be built in Gabala. Alongside with the building of the academy five or six fields covered with artificial turf will also be built,â€ he said.
Touching upon the performance of the main team and Iranian legionary Farzad Hatemiâ€™s inviting to Azerbaijanâ€™s national team Najafov underlined that they supported head coach Ramiz Mammadov. He linked unsuccessful performance of the team to the injuries.
â€œSix out of nine transferred players were injured, and this had a negative impact. This also frustrated plans of our head coach. We do not intend to replace Mammadov, because he is a young, talented coach. As regards Farzad, he is a professional and talented footballer and makes his choice himself. I talked to him after the national teamâ€™s invitation. Since Hatemi is from South Azerbaijan, I told him that his play in our national team would be very useful for his future career. He did not give an answer. Anyway one cannot make a footballer play,â€ he said.
