AFFA sends veterans to international tournament

Baku. Agshin Aliyev - APA-Sport. â€œThe doors of AFFA are always open for veteran footballers,â€ Asim Khudiyev, veteran footballer, head specialist of Children-Youth Football Department of AFFA told APA-Sport. He said the association never forgets veteran footballers in the conferences and football matches.

â€œVeterans are as a rule invited to various events by AFFA. Places in the central sectors were allotted for veteran players in the match between our national team and Liechtenstein. Veteran players were also invited to UEFA Futsal Cup matches in Baku last week,â€ he said.
Khudiyev said that AFFA was ready to pay the tour expenses of veteran players to Uzbekistan in October.

Asim Khudiyev said AFFA offered material and moral assistance to veterans.
â€œThe federation leadership established a fund and granted pensions to all the veterans. The pensions have been increased this year compared with the previous year,â€ he said.

Saying that football veterans were appointed as an AFFA representative or referee-inspector to the national championship, Khudiyev spoke about the members of Executive Committee: â€œIt is not coincidence that three of 11 members of the Executive Committee â€“ Alakbar Mammadov, Kazbek Tuayev and Isgandar Javadov are football veterans. It is appearance attention and care AFFA leadership shows to the veterans. Isgandar Javadov is also the president of Regional Football Federations. AFFA provided his organization with the office, technical equipments and transportâ€.
Khudiyev, once a Neftchi player, said the veterans had no problems with reception by the AFFA officials. The international referee-inspector denied talks about such obstacles. â€œAFFA is locating at the address of Baku, Nobel Avenue 1025. Every football veteran or fan can address the association. AFFA is always supporting them and listening their questions or proposalsâ€.

Asim Khudiyev noted that our football needed in the veterans. â€œThere is care about the football veterans. The past of our football relates with the veterans. Our football needs in their assistance and proposalsâ€.
