Natig Aliyev: Shahin Diniyev failed to justify hopes
“Azerbaijan football achieved important successes during Ramiz Mirzayev’s presidency in AFFA. The material-technical base improved and the referees enhanced their professional skills. Just AFFA ex Secretary-general Fuad Asadov caused some troublesâ€.
Despite his absence in the recent meetings Natig Guliyev considers himself a legal member of AFFA Executive Committee (EC). “ CSCA is a professional club and it has teams in every age groups. Under AFFA Regulations I can not be dismissed from Executive committee membershipâ€.
The colonel touched upon Azerbaijan team’s latest results too. “Serbia’s victory over Azerbaijan is a tragedy for all of us. I remember well the time Shahin Diniyev was appointed the head coach with consent of Executive members. Shahin Diniyev delivered a 40-minute speech on the occasion of his appointment. We were then very happy to find a coach who promised to launch systematic steps and welcomed his appointment. But Shahin Diniyev failed to justify our hopesâ€.
N.Aliyev is pleased with CSCA which competes in the first division of the 16th championship. “CSCA showed maximum results, scoring 18 points out of 6 matches. I think the team will succeed. We may not compete in the super leagueâ€.
He said some footballers of super league will play for CSCA during mandatory military service. “Some members will leave the team finishing military service. We think to substitute them with 5-6 footballers playing in the super leagueâ€. /APA-Sport/
