The first day of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026), held in Baku on September 25–26 under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has wrapped up, APA reports.
At the opening of the event, Samir Sharifov, Assistant to the Prime Minister, read out the address from President Ilham Aliyev. Throughout the first day, extensive discussions were held on pressing issues of the global economic agenda, Azerbaijan's investment opportunities, the development of regional and international connectivity, and prospects for economic development.
During the forum's first economic session, Minister Mikayil Jabbarov highlighted Azerbaijan's strategic regional connectivity and investment potential against the backdrop of global economic shifts, focusing on the theme "Restoring Trust in a Fragmented World: Azerbaijan as a Strategic Bridge in the Region."
