The expansion of economic cooperation between the South Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as the strengthening of investment and regional connectivity opportunities, were discussed as part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA reports.
A panel session titled “Azerbaijan at the Center of South Caucasus–Central Asia Strategic Partnerships: A Key Driver of Regional Cooperation” was held in Baku as part of the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, organized under the patronage of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The session was moderated by Orkhan Amashov, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of AnewZ TV channel.
Taleh Ziyadov, Adviser to the Minister of Economy, highlighted Azerbaijan’s role as one of the key platforms for economic cooperation between the South Caucasus and Central Asia. It was noted that the development of the Middle Corridor, green energy, mutual investments, and joint projects in the transport sector are strengthening regional economic integration.
Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Ucarmak, President of the Turkic Investment Fund Baghdad Amreyev, Executive Director of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Budapest Balazs Hendrich, CEO of Türkiye’s Sabanci Holding Kivanc Zaimler, Senior Vice President for Asset Management at the UAE’s XRG Bassem Tadros, Vice President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank Ziya Aliyev, CEO of Georgia’s LEPL Investment Agency Mikheil Khidureli, and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Railways Yerlan Koishibayev addressed the event.
It should be noted that the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum is being held in Baku under the patronage of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency – AZPROMO, in strategic partnership with The European House – Ambrosetti, the Forum is dedicated to the theme “Restoring Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability.”
