Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Tahsin Ertugruloglu on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, APA reports.
The ministers exchanged views on bilateral contacts, as well as the important dialogue conducted within multilateral formats.
During the discussions, the importance of the TRNC’s observer status in the Organization of Turkic States was emphasized, as well as the importance of expanding multilateral coordination and joint initiatives within the Turkic world, including preparations for the upcoming OTS Summit.
The ministers also touched upon regional issues of mutual interest.
