Vlastimil Petrjela: My move to Neftchi is not step backward
- The club leadership invited me.
- Who invited you to the club?
- Neftchi president and vice president
- What are your responsibilities in the new post?
- As far as I know Neftchi is the strongest team of the country. It is natural that the leadership wants to develop the club. But it is football and many things can happen in the future
- Are you satisfied with the conditions of the contract? How much did you receive from the club?
- I agreed to sign one year contract. Neftchi leadership was interested in the long term contract. I did not agree with it. I can say nothing about material side.
- What is your salary?
- I can not tell it to journalists.
- Why did you agree to work for Neftchi?
- I received invitations from other clubs too. Neftchi officials invited me to watch Neftchi matches. I acme here to watch both Neftchi matches and hold negotiations. Neftchi is a distinctive team. I wish it to play as my ex team Neftchi .
- You want to say that Neftchi is playing not so good.
- I did not say so. I watched one match. It has good, perspective footballers. Neftchi should demonstrate speedy game
- Which clubs did you receive invitations from?
- I received several invitations
- For example…
- Romania’s Universitatya Krayova proposed head coach post to me. We could not agree in the end. The salary issues did not play any role in my choosing Neftchi
- Do you think to hire new assistants?
- I considered inviting new coach to the team. This coach will be either from Russia or Ukraine or Czech
- Did you have any information on Azerbaijan football?
- To be frankly I had no information. I knew only Neftchi.
- You worked in Zenit. Is it a step backward to move to Neftchi after Zenit?
- I never accepted it so.
- When will return to Azerbaijan? Will you lead Neftchi in the next round of the championship?
- I will return to Baku on September 1. I myself will lead Neftchi against Inter. /APA-Sport/
