Azerbaijani referees will not conduct Birkirkara (Malta) – Maribor (Slovenia) match in UEFA Intertoto cup stage 1 scheduled for June 24, APA-Sport reports.
The referees couldn’t get a visa. Fariz Yusifov, Elman Musayev and Roman Vasilyev were to travel Malta via Austria. The party was to have appealed to Austrian embassy in Turkey in order to get visa. But our referees couldn’t follow the procedure as they had short time. In result, visit to Malta has been cancelled. UEFA representative Ivan Kornu was sorry for the visa problem. UEFA has already assigned new refereeing staff to the match. The representative promised to send new assignment to Yusifov’s brigade soon. /APA-Sport/
