Fuad Esedov: I presented letter of resignation a year ago

â€œThose who say that I resigned in order to shirk responsibility for matches with Armenia are uneducated people. I didnâ€™t play football. I was engaged in organizing activitiesâ€, former AFFA secretary general Fuad Esedov told APA-Sport.
Esedov stated that he had appealed to AFFA president with a letter of resignation a year ago.
â€œMy schedule was very heavy. The only reason of my resignation is tiredness. I just want to restâ€, he said.
Former secretary general stressed that he will continue other activities in AFFA.
â€œI have a deal with AFFA. I will still lead Licensing Committee. We will work in AFFA as long as I wantâ€, he underscored.
Esedov didnâ€™t name his successor. He noted that it is in AFFA presidentâ€™s authority to make new appointment.
â€œIt is up to AFFA president to appoint secretary general. The process will be carried out according to the Regulationsâ€, he said.
Esedov has worked as a secretary general in AFFA since 2003. He resigned on June 13 this year. AFFA assistant president Eleddin Agayi will assume the responsibility till new appointment. /APA-Sport/
