Ramiz Mirzeyev: Fuad Esedov resigned for health problem

â€œWe will continue to use Fuad Esedovâ€™s service and adviceâ€, AFFA president Ramiz Mirzeyev told APA-Sport.
Mirzeyev stated that Esedov had resigned from the post of AFFA secretary general for health problem. AFFA president stressed his merits to national football.
â€œThe state has assessed his merits. The officials thanked Esedov for his merits in AFFA Executive Committee meeting todayâ€, he said.
Eleddin Agayi will assume the responsibility of former secretary general before official appointment. Agayi told APA-Sport that his assignment to the post was unexpected.
â€œI didnâ€™t expect to be assigned to the post. It is in AFFA presidentâ€™s authority to choose secretary general officiallyâ€, he said.
Agayi noted that Esedovâ€™s resignation doesnâ€™t mean he shirks responsibility before European championship qualifying matches against Armenia.
â€œI donâ€™t think Esedov shirks responsibility. He just has health problemâ€, he said.
Agayi was appointed AFFA assistant president on February 1 this year. AFFA Executive Committee decided today to charge Agayi with the post of secretary general. /APA-Sport/
