Azerbaijan football squad may play August-22 friendly match against Macedonia, AFFA National Teams Department chief Behruz Asgerov told APA-Sport.
He said the federation has sent a letter to the Football Federation of Macedonia.
“We have begun talks with Football Federation of Macedonia. We sent a letter them and made a proposal to play a friendly match”, he said.
Asgerov said if the answer is negative, AFFA will lead talks with Montenegro or Jordan.
“Macedonia is a stronger team than Montenegro and Jordan. That’s why we appealed them first. But if we fail to reach agreement, our federation intends to appeal to Montenegro and Jordan”, he said.
The negotiations with Football Federation of Lithuania had no reason. August-22 match will a warm-up before Euro qualifying matches against Armenia. /APA-Sport/
