Azeri team scores first point in visit match in 2008 Euro qualifying

The visit match of Azerbaijan national team against Kazakhstan in 2008 Euro qualification ended in a draw 1-1, APA-Sport reports.
The match between the parties in September last year ended with the same score. This is Azeri teamâ€™s first point in visit match. Vugar Nadirov opened the scoring after 31 minutes with Jeyhun Sultanovâ€™s assistance. Sultanovâ€™s head kick met the cross bar in 21st minute. Kazakhstan had more threatening scenes before the break. Nurbol Jumaskaliyev had a 100 percent opportunity after the blunder but his kick was wide. Tall forward Vitali Ostapenko also failed to use two mistakes of our goalkeeper Jahangir Hesenzade. Kazakhstan team midfielder Maksim Lalmagambetov received yellow card after 43rd minute for deliberate violence against our defender Ramin Guliyev.
Kazakhstan equalizer came in 53rd minute. Samir Abbasov scored own goal after Jumaskaliyevâ€™s pass in front of the goal. Though Jumaskaliyev scored the second goal in 67th, the linesman raised the banner showing offside. Serbian forward of our team Mranimir Subashich missed two shots. Emin Imameliyev and Alim Gurbanov fielded in second half had several chances but could realize none.
With the draw the total points of Azeri team reached 5. The team will play next match on September 8 against Armenia. /APA-Sport/
