Chingiz Husseinzade sorry Azerbaijan fails to exceed Armenia statistically

â€œI think, Armenia wouldnâ€™t insist on playing in Baku if we were 100% sure we would beat Armenia squad. We would be ready to meet the rival if we knew it for sure. And they would refuse to come to Bakuâ€, National Olympic Committee vice-president Chingiz Husseinzade told APA-Sport.
He said he prefers reality while talking about Azerbaijan â€“ Armenia encounters. Neftchi was to face Punich in semi-final in Moscow last year. But Armenian club refused to play because they knew well they were weak. It is pity that Azerbaijan doesnâ€™t exceed Armenia statistically. Thatâ€™s why Armenia doesnâ€™t intend to withdraw. They will try to impact on FIFA and UEFA and realise their wishâ€, he underscored.
NOC vice-president stressed that both squads are equal.
â€œThere may be a slight difference between them. Ball is round, and field is flat. But there is also great riskâ€, he said.
Husseinzade thinks the issue should be discussed after UEFA decision on the venue.
