President of Turkish Football Federation resigns

Baku – APA. President of Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Mehmet Ali Aydinlar resigned. APA reports that two vice-president – Goksel Gumushdag and Lutfu Aribogan has also resigned, the extraordinary congress will be held on February 27 for electing the TFF’s new president.
The serious crisis has occurred in Turkish football since July, 2011 in connection with the investigation and arrests on fixed matches. 8 clubs including “Fenerbahce†are implicated in the scandal. Despite UEFA’s insistences, TFF didn’t punish these clubs. For the last time UEFA demanded TFF to quicken the punishments.
Aydinlar is the member of Fenerbahce club. It is reported that he said “I don’t want to become history as a president who punished Fenerbahceâ€.
