TFF says FenerbahÃ§e not to participate in the Champions League

The chief disciplinary inspector of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Pierre Cornu, arrived in Ä°stanbul on Monday to have talks with the prosecutor and Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President Mehmet Ali AydÄ±nlar.
The UEFA inspector was expected to prepare a report on the match-fixing allegations in Turkey and submit it to UEFA President Michel Platini. If his report indicates that the Turkish teams may have engaged in match-fixing, Turkish teams FenerbahÃ§e, Trabzonspor and BeÅŸiktaÅŸ would have been excluded from the European leagues.
The match-fixing investigation concerns claims that some club officials and footballers had rigged games in the Spor Toto Super League and the Bank Asya League 1. Last month police raided homes and football club premises, detaining some 60 people suspected of fixing football matches in the two leagues last season. Many high-ranking football officials from various Turkish clubs, including FenerbahÃ§e and BeÅŸiktaÅŸ, have been arrested on charges of fraud and match-fixing.
