Former president of Turkish Football Federation Mahmut Ozgener detained by police

Baku â€“ APA. Former president of Turkish Football Federation, who left this post on June 29, this year, Mahmut Ozgener was detained by the police, APA reports. The second wave of arrests over the match-fixing and sale of the questions of the management exams also covered the former leadership of the Turkish Football Federation. Former president of the Federation Mahmut Ozgener, former member of the Federationâ€™s Management Board Levent Kizil and Ozgenerâ€™s advisor Mumtaz Karakaya were detained by the police. The second wave of arrests started on July 11. President of Trabzonspor club Sadri Shener and goal-keeper of Ankaragucu team Serdar Kulbilge were also arrested. The operation continues.

The police started operation over the match-fixing and rigged management exam on July 3. Court passed judgment on arrest of 26 persons, including president of Fenerbahce club.
