Istanbul prosecutor appeals the court for a warrant to arrest the president of Fenerbahce FC

The president of Fenerbahce Aziz Yildirim was questioned for 9 hours by the Istanbul prosecutor Mehmet Burke on the case of match-fixing of the season 2010-2011, the football championship of Turkey.

After completing the investigation, the public prosecutor appealed to the Istanbul court for serious crimes for use in relation Yildirim preventive measures as arrest.

President of Fenerbahce intended to exercise the right to remain silent, but his lawyers managed to persuade to give evidence.
Lawyers reported that Yildirim had to answer 300 questions of the prosecutor. During interrogation, Yildirim was given medical assistance in connection with diabetes and high blood pressure.
Other representatives of the club waiting for the completion of the inquiry to the prosecutor’s office in nearby cafes.

Recall that in the case of contractual matches are under arrest, Vice-President of Fenerbahce Shekim Mostuoglu, director of the club Ekshioglu Ilhan, the head coach of football club Sivasspor Majnun Odyakmaz, head coach, Eskisheherspor Bulent Uygun, director of the club’s Umit Karan, goalkeeper Sivasspor Corciano Chelikay and 25 others.
Several earlier players Fenerbahce Emmanuel Emenike and Cesar Ozturk, a player Eskisheherspor Mehmet Yildiz and head coach, Adanaspor Ersin Levent, along with 24 others were released.
