The club’s extraordinary financial congress on March 27 considered the club leadership’s one-year activity as dissatisfactory and decided that elections of a new leadership must be held within a month. Polat’s supporters bring a case before the court and achieved the court resolution stopping the fulfillment of the Galatasaray’s financial congress decision. However Adnan Polat announced the date of elections, but he has not made clear would he run again for the club chairmanship or not.
The most pretentious candidate for the “Galatasaray†chairman’s post is 70-year-old businessman Unal Aysal, who is 51st among the 100 richest Turkish people. Aysal is expected to be officially nominated soon.
