Guus Hiddink officially announced as coach of Turkish national team

Baku – APA. Turkish Football Federation has officially announced that Guus Hiddink has been appointed as head of the national team, APA reports quoting the website of the federation. On February 16, president of the federation Mahmud Ozgener and his assistant Lutfu Aribogan met with Guus Hiddink in Amsterdam. The sides signed two-year deal with an option for two additional years. Previous head coach Fatih Terim’s assistant Oguz Cetin, Engin Ipekoglu will be his assistants. Guus Hiddink will also bring an assistant from the Netherlands.

Hiddink had worked in Turkey earlier. He was coach of Fenerbahce in 1990-1991. He had also coached De Graafschap, PSV, Washington Diplomats, San Jose Earthquakes, HEK, Fenerbahce, Valencia, Real Madrid, Real Betis, Chelsea clubs, national teams of the Netherlands, Australia, South Korea and Russia.
