Within the framework of COP29, the Azerbaijan Chamber of Accounts and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) organized an event titled "What stage are governments in their climate activities? - Results of the Climate Scanner assessment", APA reports.
According to the report, the event was attended by representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of Brazil, Finland, Canada, etc. \and the European Court of Auditors, as well as representatives of a number of influential international organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Population Fund, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, etc., as well as heads of state bodies.
The event continued with a panel discussion with representatives from the SAIs of Canada, India, the Maldives and the European Court of Auditors. The panel discussions shared experiences of SAIs and lessons learned from the assessment tool, as well as opportunities to improve effective climate governance and accountability at the national level.
