Loans for hybrid and electric vehicles have increased sharply in Azerbaijan, Zakir Nuriyev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Banks Association, said this during his speech at the VIII International Banking Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
He underlined that while the share of electric and hybrid vehicles in the loan portfolio of banks was 17.8% of the total passenger car portfolio by the end of 2022, the corresponding figure was 59.9% as of June 30 of this year.
Zakir Nuriyev added that the introduction of regulatory concessions by the Central Bank affected the increase in lending for these vehicles.
