"Central Asia has both renewable energy and critical mineral resource potential to position itself at the forefront of the 21st century economy and future-proof itself in a rapidly changing energy landscape," Francesco La Camera, IRENA Director General said during his speech at the Energy Transition Investment Forum within COP29, APA reports.
"APRECA (ed. Accelerated Partnership for Renewable Energy in Central Asia initiative) provides an important opportunity for the region to mobilize its potential in a comprehensive, country-led way, combining ambition, planning and implementation," added the Director General.
