Azerbaijan's leadership is organizing COP29 at a high level. The preparation for this international event has been excellent, said Makhtar Diop, Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), in an interview with APA.
He stated that overall, the panel discussions show that there is a need to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the transition to a green economy. During COP29, important steps will be taken in this area, and discussions on investments will continue.
During the panel discussions, the Managing Director also added that the IFC is investing in gender-based innovations for a climate-resilient future. In this regard, the corporation has invested in the transportation sector in Colombia and India.
