Foreign Direct Investments in Azerbaijan amounted to USD 4,5 bln. in 3Q2024

In the third quarter of 2024, a total of 4.5 billion USD in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) was injected into Azerbaijan's oil, gas, and non-oil sectors, Samir Nasirov, Director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, said during a briefing, APA-Economics reports.

He noted that capital repatriation amounted to 4.8 billion USD. Foreign Direct Investment sent from Azerbaijan abroad reached 1.4 billion USD (compared to 998 million USD in the same period of 2023).

"Direct investments from Azerbaijan to the United Arab Emirates amounted to 431 million USD, to Türkiye 175 million USD, to Georgia 96 million USD, to the United Kingdom 87 million USD, and to Uzbekistan 78 million USD," Samir Nasirov added.
